Celebrate Halloween and beautify Youngstown, group urges

YOUNGSTOWN — Treez Please, a community reforestation project, is having a tree-planting Halloween party Saturday.

The public is invited to join in at the project site at Midlothian Boulevard and Interstate 680 in Youngstown.

The project will begin at 8 a.m. and continue until at least 17 trees are planted along East Midlothian between the interstate and Sheridan Avenue.

Volunteers are asked to bring a shovel, gloves and sturdy shoes.

Halloween costumes are optional but encouraged.

Parking will be available at Ipe Field.
