Mount Union 56, Wilmington 0

ALLIANCE — Senior quarterback Kurt Rocco tossed a career-high five touchdown passes and the Mount Union defense intercepted five passes in the Ohio Athletic Conference game. Rocco completed 14-of-20 passes for 275 yards while freshman backup quarterback Neal Seaman tossed another touchdown pass as Mount Union tallied a total of six touchdown passes to six different receivers as duo combined to throw for 301 yards. All-American senior wide receiver Cecil Shorts III had a game-high four catches for 76 yards as nine different Raiders caught a pass. Senior running back Terrance Morring went over a 100 yards on the ground for the third time in four games as he had a career-best 126 yards as Mount Union churned out 301 rushing yards on 44 carries. Sophomore safety Alex Ferrara had two interceptions, while senior safety Roger Stewart, senior defensive tackle Matt Williamson and sophomore defensive back Evan Lamolinara each had picks to lead a defense that held Wilmington to 114 total yards.

No. 7 Washington & Jefferson 49, Westminster 7

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — The Presidents (7-0, 3-0 Presidents’ Athletic Conference) won their ninth straight over Westminster (3-5, 2-3 PAC) and are 55-3 in their last 58 PAC games. Washington & Jefferson scored three defensive touchdowns in the game, including Josh Buckley returning an interception 36 yards in the first quarter to give W&J a 21-0 lead. Craig Sedunov returned an interception 56 yards in the second quarter and Matthew Gal scooped up a third-quarter fumble and returned it 16 yards.

Westminster senior running back Nick McKolosky capped off a seven-play, 62-yard touchdown drive with a 3-yard plunge for his team-high sixth rushing touchdown. It was his 27th overall touchdown which ranks him seventh in school history. McKolosky finished with 75 yards on 18 carries. Westminster starting sophomore quarterback Shawn Lehocky (Conway, Pa./Freedom) also grossed 48 yards but with five sacks he finished with 15 net rushing yards on 15 attempts. Lehocky was 10-31 passing for 123 yards.

No. 9 Case 63, Hiram 14

UNIVERSITY CIRCLE — In the first quarter, Case (7-0) found the end zone three times with two scores on offense. Another came on a 34-yard interception return. The Spartans also scored a safety on a blocked punt and added a field goal to lead 26-0 after the first quarter. Hiram (0-7) got on the board on a 5-yard TD run by freshman quarterback Brendan Rehor that ended a 17-play, 62-yard drive for a score of 49-7. Case totaled 378 yards of total offense (109 rushing and 269 passing) and Hiram finished the game with 290 yards of offense (89 rushing and 201 passing). Hiram was led by junior wide receiver Glenn Campbell who caught a game-high eight passes for 57 yards. Freshman wideout Kyle Callari had six receptions for a team-high 77 yards. Rehor ended the game completing 19-of-36 passes for 150 yards with a TD and three interceptions.

Waynesburg 52, Bethany 13

WAYNESBURG, Pa. — Waynesburg ended a two-game winning streak. The win was the first in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) for the Yellow Jackets (4-3, 1-2). The Bison fell to 2-5, 1-4. The Bison were led by Dan Pegg, Matt Cruse and running back Eric Walker. Pegg connected on 22-of-40 attempts for199 yards and two touchdowns. Cruse caught a game-high six passes for 94 yards and a score, while Walker piled up 110 yards on 15 totes.

No. 23 California 44, Slippery Rock 7

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — California outgained Slippery Rock, 416-217 in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division action. The loss was the third straight suffered by The Rock (5-4, 2-4). The Rock finished the game with 149 yards passing and 68 yards rushing, while California had 228 passing yards and 188 rushing yards.

No. 15 Thomas More 28, Thiel 14

GREENVILLE, Pa. — Cordario Collier ran 18 yards for a touchdown with 2:27 remaining. Playing through a knee injury, Saints quarterback Trevor Stellman helped his team overcome three first-half turnovers and a generous-but-opportunistic Tomcat defense by throwing for 182 yards and two scores. Collier led Thomas More with 189 yards and two scores on the ground, in addition to 109 yard and a TD receiving. Thiel quarterback Willie Bova completed 20-of-36 tosses for 227 yards. Bova’s 12th completion was his 400th in a Tomcat uniform and a new Thiel career record. Four of those completions were to freshman Tyler Dejong (Columbiana), who compiled a game-high 110 receiving yards.
