Chamber music concert celebrates Mendelssohn


MERCER, Pa. — The Chamber Players will have a free concert at 4 p.m. Sunday in Helen Miller Memorial Chapel, 119 S. Pitt St.

The concert, which will celebrate the bicentennial of Felix Mendelssohn’s birth, will be the first with the ensemble’s new conductor, Richard A. Konzen, who is a music professor at Grove City College.

A reception will follow in the Social Room of the chapel.

The Chamber Players also include Jeff and Rebecca Johns, William Cooper, Paula Kubik, Cary Cooper, Sally Wilcox Stanton and guest artists.
