WEDNESDAY

• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and Oct. 28 at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and no reservations are necessary. FRIDAY

• Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road at Sheridan, Poland, will serve chili dinners from 4-6:30 p.m. Prices follow: bowl, $2.50; refill, $1; quarts, $4, slice of pie, $2; whole pie, $7; coffee or punch, 50 cents; and whole dinner, $5.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Living Testimony Ministries, 34 Jacobs Road, will have a fundraiser dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Available will be meals of chicken breast strips or wing dings, potato salad, greens, cornbread, sweet potato pie, and pop; or chili, hot dog, chips and pop for $4.50. • St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

• Brookfield United Methodist Church, 6951 Grove St., is having an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12. Takeouts will be available. • Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will sponsor a turkey dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetable, coleslaw, cranberry sauce, bread, dessert and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12, and free for those 4 and under. Carryouts will be available.

• A steak fry at Liberty Masonic Complex, 1350 Shannon Road, Girard, will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. All Masonic organizations that meet at the complex are sponsoring the event to benefit the building fund. Cost is $15. Tickets can be purchased from any of the organizations’ members.

• West Austintown First United Methodist Church, 6749 Mahoning Ave. at Turner Road, Austintown, will serve an Amish chicken and roast beef dinner with seatings at 4:30 and at 6 p.m. The donation is $13 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. • Kids Grieve Too will serve a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. There will also be entertainment and a silent auction.

• St. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, adjacent to Fellows Riverside Gardens, will be serving an all-you-can-eat Octoberfest buffet featuring traditional German specialties beginning at 11:45 a.m. in the Colonial Hall. Prices are $12.50 for adults and $6.25 for children 6-12. • Ursuline High School Band Boosters will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from noon to 6 p.m. at Lucianno Banquet Center, 1830 Raccoon Road, Austintown. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread, dessert, pop and coffee. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for children. There will also be a Chinese auction, bake shop, fruit sale and 50-50 raffle. • Robbins United Methodist Church, 100 High St., Washingtonville, will sell homemade potato, chicken noodle, vegetable and wedding soups for $6.50 a quart from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 7. Also available will be homemade bread and baked goods.
