‘Big Brother’ winner arrested over oxycodone

BOSTON — The winner of reality TV show “Big Brother” has confessed using his $500,000 prize to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and resell them, authorities said.

Adam Jasinski, 31, of Delray Beach, Fla., has been charged with attempting to sell 2,000 pills in Massachusetts to a government witness.

Federal prosecutors said Jasinski was arrested Saturday after he flew to Boston and showed the witness a sock containing two plastic bags filled with oxycodone, a powerful painkiller that is a popular street drug because of its euphoric effects.

As agents tried to arrest Jasinski at a strip mall in North Reading, he struggled and threw the sock under a car parked nearby, Todd Prough, a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration, said in an affidavit filed in court.

Jasinski won $500,000 last year on the CBS reality show in which contestants live under constant surveillance and vote once a week to evict each other in hopes of becoming the last houseguest standing and winning the grand prize.

Prough said in the affidavit that Jasinski told him that he has been using his winnings to buy thousands of oxycodone pills and has been reselling them along the East Coast for the past several months.

Her album is ‘Rated R,’ as is Rihanna artwork

NEW YORK — Rihanna is exposing her fans to more than her music with her new single, “Russian Roulette.”

The singer is featured nearly topless on artwork for the song, covered only by what looks to be barbed wire.

The photo fits the apparent theme for her new album, “Rated R,” which is due out Nov. 23. It will be her first CD since 2007’s “Good Girl Gone Bad,” which went multiplatinum. It will also be her first solo single since she was attacked by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

“Russian Roulette” will debut Tuesday on Rihanna’s Web site.

Man accused in Burruss’ ex’s death is freed on bond

ATLANTA — A strip-club worker accused of beating to death the ex-fianc of a “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member has been freed on bond.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Frederick Richardson was freed Tuesday on $10,000 bond. He is charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Ashley “A.J.” Jewell, who was engaged to “Housewives” member Kandi Burruss until August.

Jewell died Oct. 2, hours after getting into a fight with Richardson in the parking lot of the Body Tap strip club. Richardson is not scheduled to return to court until his case goes before a grand jury.

His attorney says Jewell had an underlying medical condition that caused his death.
