CPR, first-aid class

WARREN — The American Red Cross of Mercer and Trumbull counties is offering a CPR and first-aid class at the Warren office, 661 Mahoning Ave. NW, from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 26 and 28.

There also will be a CPR and first-aid class from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Warren office.

Cemetery cleanup

NILES — The caretaker at St. Stephen Cemetery asks that all flowers and decorations be removed from graves before Oct. 31 for fall cleanup. Any that remain after that date will be discarded.

Decorations may be replaced Nov. 9.

Seniors forum

YOUNGSTOWN — The second annual senior citizens’ forum of the Mahoning County Department of Job and Family Services will be from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday in the auditorium at JFS offices, 345 Oak Hill Ave.

The program will feature blood-pressure screenings and information about JFS programs for seniors, the District XI Area Agency on Aging’s Passport program and senior services provided by the county sheriff’s department.

Conservation breakfast

CANFIELD — Fred Hammon, soil and water conservation administrator for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, will be the featured speaker at the Mahoning Soil and Water Conservation District’s 58th annual meeting and election breakfast.

The event will be from 7 to 11 a.m. Friday at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road.

An election for two seats on district’s board of supervisors and an awards ceremony will be conducted.
