AVON — Avon United Methodist Church was the setting at 1:30 p.m. May 23 as nuptial vows were exchanged by Tiffiny May Deitke and Daniel John Orient in the presence of the Rev. Stacy Terrell.

The couple accepted congratulations during a reception at the Fountain Bleau in Avon Lake before leaving on a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico. They live in North Ridgeville.

Parents of the bride are Steven and Becky Deitke of Lake Milton, and the groom’s parents are Paul Orient and Valerie Sedmack, both of Sheffield Lake.

The bride’s strapless white taffeta and lace gown was enhanced with beading and featured an empire waist embellished with satin ribbon and a crystal brooch, a ball-gown skirt, and a semicathedral train.

Carrie Nelson of Rootstown, the bride’s cousin and honor attendant, wore a violet gown, as did the bridesmaids, Tina Malmfeldt of Austintown, and the groom’s sister, Olivia Orient of Avon.

James Sedmack of Sheffield Lake performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Damon Turk of Lakewood, and Christopher Conrad and Jeremy Harsa, both of Lorain.

A graduate of Kent State University, Salem Campus, with an associate in applied science, the bride is a radiologic technologist at the Cleveland Clinic.

The groom, a U.S. Navy veteran, is employed by the State of Ohio.
