• Elmer Haidle will preside when Boardman South AARP 4545 meets at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Holiday Inn South. The menu choices are roast turkey or baked perch for $13.50. • A meeting of Youngstown Chapter 4611, AARP, will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Augustine Church on Parmelee Ave. Plans will be made for a Thanksgiving luncheon. The speaker will be Tina Glenn. • Holy Name Seniors will meet at Founder’s Hall at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 for lunch, cards and bingo. Wilma Kutlick will preside and reports will be given by Ginnie Miller, Marge Bada and Vickie Long. There will be nomination of new officers. Hostesses will be Rose Mary Cervone, Helen Greiner, Mary West and Mary Morley.
KEENAGERS
• Keenagers of Third Baptist Church will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Members will plan a trip to Washington, D.C., in June, 2010. A deposit is due for those going on the trip.

• A meeting of Local 1199 Seniors will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the union hall on Belmont Avenue. Election of officers is on the agenda and a trash and treasure sale and 50-50 raffle will take place. Illnesses should be reported to (330) 746-0889. Meetings are the third Tuesday of each month.

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. • Mahoning Retired Teachers are inviting all area retired teachers to a satellite luncheon at noon Oct. 28 at the Buckeye Room of Copeland Oaks in Sebring.
