Area candidates nights set for coming week

Deerfield

The Berlin Lake Association’s fall meeting will be a “Meet the Candidates Night” at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Deerfield Town Hall. All candidates running for Deerfield Township trustee will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and their agendas.

Vienna, Fowler

The Vienna Township Neighborhood Watch will sponsor a “Meet the Candidates Night” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Mathews High School cafeteria. Candidates for Fowler and Vienna township trustees, Vienna fiscal officer and Mathews Board of Education are invited to attend. Also on had will be a representative of the Mathews Levy Committee. Mike Miller will be the moderator, and Mathews government students will provide questions. The audience also will be able to submit questions.

Boardman

St. Charles Parish Social Justice Commission and the Boardman Council Parent Teacher Association are sponsoring a Candidate’s Forum at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Boardman High School cafeteria. Candidates running for Boardman Township trustee have been invited to participate. The forum will be moderated by a member of the League of Women Voters. League of Women’s Voter guides for the 2009 election will be available.
