Career networking fair set next week

GIRARD — The Youngstown Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2205 Tibbetts-Wick Road, will host a Career Networking Fair from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. The event is free and open to the public. Participants may stop in at any time throughout the event.

Rich Torgerson, one of the event coordinators, said the event is for everyone who would like to expand their professional network and job-seeking skills and also for anyone who would like to share their areas of expertise and further expand professional contacts.

Employers are invited to set up a recruitment/information table at no cost.

Workshops will focus on a variety of topics, from surviving unemployment and job-search planning, to writing a r sum and cover letter and preparing for job interviews. There will be a computer available to help people with their r sum s. Participants should bring a hard copy of their r sum and an electronic version, if available.
