ASSOCIATIONS

• William Penn Association, Branch 28 of Youngstown, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Boardman Grand Buffet on Market Street, Boardman. Honored will be 50-year members.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

• The McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

BOOSTERS

• The Girard High School Athletic Boosters will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the high school cafeteria.

CLASSES

• Hubbard High School Class of 1951 will meet at noon Wednesday at Frankie’s Main Street Cafe for lunch. All classmates are welcome.

CLUBS

• Chapter CE of the PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday for a noon luncheon at A La Cart in Canfield. The program will be a report of the PEO International Convention. Speaker will be Janet Lynn of Chapter EM. Hostesses are Alice Wright and Becky Murray.

• Warren Women’s Club will have a “Meet Me at the Fair” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at DiLucia’s Banquet Room, 2610 Elm Road NE, Warren. Marty Campana will conduct a live auction, and there will be a silent auction and bake sale. The speaker will be Mary Thompson, a musician. The cost is $12. • Youngstown Panhellenic will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Poland Library. Barbara Root will present a program of Halloween stories.

• Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild has scheduled the following: Howland Happy Stitchers will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles-Cortland Road, Howland for a Halloween project demonstration by Sue Stoddart.

LIBRARY FRIENDS

• Austintown Friends of the Library will host a free public meeting at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Richard A. Hasler, author of five books about preaching, prayer and sports, will speak on his most recent book, “Surprises Around the Bend: 50 Adventurous Walkers.”

• The Croatian Lodge No. 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

• Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Manor, 314 S. Canfield-Niles Road. The speaker will be Cheryl Figliano from the Centers for Hearing Care.

• Court Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunrise Assisted Living, 335 McKinley Way W., Poland. New members will be welcomed. • Mahoning County-Youngstown Chapter of Bereaved Parents of the USA, a national nonprofit self-help group that offers support, understanding and hope to bereaved parents and other family members, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.
