Howland 2, Poland 1
HOWLAND — Senior Abby Keul’s first career goal with 20 minutes left snapped a 1-1 tie for the Tigers (11-3-1, 5-0-1 All-American Conference Red Tier). Freshman Heather Seagraves scored Howland’s other goal — also the first of her career. Olivia Nicholas and Jessica Wilson had assists. Howland goalkeeper Erika Nites made seven saves as the Tigers went unbeaten in league play for the seventh straight year. Tatum Marucci scored for Poland (11-2-2, 2-2-2) while goalkeeper Abbie Frank made five saves. JVs: 1-1.
Canfield 3, Niles 0
NILES — Rachel Morris scored two goals and Katie Siskowic one goal to pace Canfield. Canfield goalie Kelly Fenning made four saves while backup Jackie Podolsky had on .
Niles goalie Sara Scanecchia made seven saves.
Fitch 3, Massillon Perry 0
MASSILLON — Tori Koch registered two goals and one assist to spark Fitch (9-4-2, 5-1 Federal League). Bethany Mattern also had a goal and Emily Durina an assist to aid the Falcons. Goalkeeper Ali Tolich made seven saves. Perry goalkeeper Megan McMaster had 10 saves.
Springfield 3, East Palestine 3
EAST PALESTINE — Jaclyn Tabaka scored two goals and Jen Cunningham the other for the Tigers. Ashlyn Italiano had an assist while goalkeeper Tiffany Johnson stopped 14 shots. Maggie Maclavie scored three goals for the Bulldogs.
Warren JFK 3, Warren Harding 0
WARREN — Erin McBride scored all three goals for the Eagles (14-1-1), who are enjoying the school’s best season for girls soccer. Jerrica Cooper, Kelli Guarnieri and Megan Ashdown had assists. Goalkeeper Helena Democopoulas made four saves. For the Raiders (4-8-3), Ciera Sparks stopped eight shots.
West Branch 1, Minerva 1
MINERVA — Niki Carlton scored West Branch’s goal on an assist from Brandi Snyder.
Toria Nightingale scored Minerva’s goal. West Branch (8-5-3) goalkeeper Sierra Woolf made nine saves while Minerva’a Tosha Fields had five saves.
BOYS
Massillon Perry 3, Fitch 2
AUSTINTOWN — Fitch led 2-1 after goals from Keanu Shelton and Anthony Savko, but Perry rallied. Patrick Kline, Angelo Caponano and Seth Reese scored while Allan Brown had three saves. Chris Platton had eight saves for Fitch (4-10-1, 1-6 Federal League).
