Poll: Support for casino gambling is fading
YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County Democratic Party Chairman David Betras released a new statewide poll today that shows support for Issue 3 on Ohio’s November ballot is waning.
Betras, an adamant opponent of Issue 3, said a poll conducted by a Florida company showed only 48 percent of those questioned said they would vote for the gambling casino issue if voting today. That’s down from a recent Ohio Newspaper Poll that showed 59 percent of voters backed the issue, he said.
Betras said the new poll showed 44 percent of the respondents said they would vote against the measure today, up from 38 percent in the newspaper poll.
