Ohio Auditor: Boardman Township not yet in fiscal watch
BOARDMAN — The township does not meet the criteria for fiscal watch — at least not yet.
Representatives from the Ohio Auditor’s office gave a financial analysis of the township at a meeting tonight.
While the fiscal-watch designation hasn’t been met, the news was not all good. Nita Hendryx, chief project manager of the local government services division for the auditor’s office, said the township has no carry-over going into next year. But, by law, the fiscal-watch prediction can only look at the current fiscal year.
Hendryx said that means that expenditures for 2010 can’t exceed anticipated revenues.
