• Tonight is wing night at American Legion on Route 14, Columbiana. The club is open to the public from 6-9 p.m.
• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. • St. Mary’s Church, 356 S. Belle Vista, will have a drive-through stuffed cabbage dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Meals are $8 and include two stuffed cabbage, potato, vegetable, bread, butter and cake. Drive to front of the center and dinner will be delivered to your car. • American Legion on Route 14, Columbiana, is having an all-you-can eat fish fry from 4-7 p.m. at a cost of $10 for adults and $4 for children. The public is welcome.
• Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road at Sheridan, Poland, will be serving chili dinners from 4-6:30 p.m. Friday and Oct. 23. Prices follow: bowl, $2.50; refill, $1; quarts, $4, slice of pie, $2; whole pie, $7; coffee or punch, 50 cents; whole dinner, $5.
• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.
• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. • Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.
• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance.
SATURDAY
• Brookfield Methodist Preschool, 6951 Grove St., Brookfield, will serve pancake and sausage breakfasts from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Meals are $6 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12, and free for those under 5.
• Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard, will be the site of a benefit pasta dinner for Ray M. Bartos Jr. from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include salad, bread, beverage and dessert and the cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children. There will be a Chinese auction, and carryouts will be available.
• Deerfield American Legion, 1517 state Route 14, will serve a breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. at the post home. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children, and the menu consists of pancakes, sausage, eggs, sausage gravy over biscuits and a beverage. Proceeds will benefit the American Legion scholarship fund.
• Girard Eagles Auxiliary will sponsor a Swiss steak dinner from 4:30-7 p.m. for Sweetest Day at the club hall, 26 W. Wilson Ave. The meal includes mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, coffee, tea and pie. Prices are $7 for adults, $4 for ages 5-10 and free for kids under 5. After dinner will be karaoke by Glen until midnight.
• Leetonia United Methodist Church, 50 Lisbon St., will sponsor a Swiss steak dinner at 6 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, coleslaw, homemade rolls and pies, and a beverage. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 10, and free for those under 5. Takeouts will be available. Tickets must be purchased in advance; none will be sold at the door. • Southington American Legion Post 751 will serve Swiss steak dinners with real mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, vegetable, beverages and dessert from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the post, 3145 Warren-Burton Road, Southington. The donation is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Those 4 and under eat free. Takeouts available.
• Vienna Presbyterian Church, 4295 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will be selling stuffed chicken breast dinners, takeout only, from 3-6 p.m. . With the meals will be mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, tossed salad and cake. The prices are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Containers will be provided.
SUNDAY
• Capt. Charles M. Marino Post 3, Italian-American War Veterans, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10. Those under 6 may eat for free. Carryouts also will be available; containers can be purchased or patrons may provide their own. Singer Steve Fazzini will perform.
• Fowler Volunteer Fire Department will have its monthly pancake, sausage and egg breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fire station, state Route 193. Prices are $6 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and children 6 to 12, and free for preschoolers.
• Roast beef dinners will be served from noon to 2 p.m. by the Men’s Club of Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St. Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12, and will be available at the door. For more details call the church at (330) 876-4485.

• The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
