“The Middle” (8:30 p.m., ABC): On “The Middle,” Frankie and Mike see their plans for a romantic anniversary derailed by, among other things, two crazy aunts and an incontinent dog.

“Glee” (9 p.m., Fox): Oh, that devious Sue (Jane Lynch) is again up to no good on “Glee.” Tonight, she makes the singers compete against one another in hopes of creating a rift among them.
