YMCA offers lessons in aquatic activities

BOARDMAN — The Davis Family YMCA will host free orientations and skills evaluations at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the start of swim lessons.

Beginning Nov. 2 swim lessons will be available to anyone, age six months through adult. Fees for non-members are $47-$57 for six lessons.

Also beginning Nov. 2 lifeguard training will be offered those 16 or older who must pass a swim test prior to the course. This class will meet three days a week through Dec. 12 at both branches.

During the lifeguard course participants will learn first aid, CPR/AED, oxygen administration, personal safety and water rescue. Registration can be made online at www.youngstownymca.org is required by Oct. 26 and the cost is $175. For more information contact Chris Hughes, (330) 480-5655.
