AUCTIONS
• North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, North Lima, will have an auction of furniture, tools, gift baskets, pies and other items beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday at the fellowship hall. A food stand will be open at 4:30. For more information, call (330) 549-2333.
• St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2053 North Road, N.E., Warren, will have its annual Chinese auction Sunday. Doors open at 3 p.m. and the drawing begins at 4.
BAZAARS
• Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, is having a Holiday Country Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The United Methodist women will serve. There will be a bake sale, silent auction, tables with crafts, jewelry, etc., a re-gift table and collectibles and antiques.
• Zion Lutheran Church, 10857 Main St., New Middletown, is having a bazaar and spaghetti dinner on Saturday. The bazaar hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and it includes a Chinese auction, handmade items, crafts, baked goods, jewelry, white elephant sale and other items. A luncheon will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. featuring soups and sandwiches. The spaghetti dinner will be served from 4:30-7 p.m. The cost will be $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 7-12, and free for kids 6 and under. Takeouts will be available. BINGO, CARD PARTIES
• Ladies Auxiliary to the VFW will have a card and bingo party and Chinese auction at 2 p.m. Sunday at the post home, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers. Admission is $5 and tickets will be sold at the door. Soft drinks will be sold and a light luncheon will be served.
• The parish members of Our Lady of Hungary Church, 545 N. Belle Vista Ave., will have a Basket Bingo at 2 p.m. Oct. 25 at the church’s Cardinal Mindszenty Hall. A $5 donation includes lunch. • Rodef Sholom Sisterhood will present its fifth annual community card party and brunch at 11 a.m. Thursday in Strouss Hall. The cost is $11 per person, which includes brunch. Play mah jongg, bridge, canasta, rummy Q or any game you wish. Take your own cards, mah jong, etc. and table covers. All guests are welcome.
• St. Brendan Altar & Rosary Society is sponsoring its annual Fall Bingo and Card Party at 2 p.m. Sunday in Maxwell Hall (enter from back parking lot), 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown. Admission is $5 and includes lunch.
• St. Charles Ladies Guild will have a bingo and card party at 2: 30 p.m. Oct. 25 in the church social hall.
• T.N.R. of Warren is sponsoring a vendor bingo from 6-9:30 p.m. Nov. 7 at Crest Lanes Bowling Alley Banquet Room, 3390 Youngstown Road SE, in Warren, Admission is $5 for 1 bingo card and a chance at a door prize. Additional bingo sheets are $1 each or a donation of supplies (Purina Cat Chow, scoopable cat litter, small foam plates, plastic spoons, tall kitchen garbage bags and cat toys.) For each additional item you take, you’ll receive one extra bingo card. From 6-7:15, shop vendor booths, and bingo begins at 7:15. Vendors will all donate a portion of sales to T.N.R. of Warren.
BOOK SALES
• UPMC Horizon Greenville and Shenango Valley campuses will have a book sale in their lobbies Thursday and Friday. Proceeds will benefit hospital auxiliary projects.
CRAFT SHOWS
• Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, is having a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free; food and refreshments will be available, and there will be a Chinese auction and basket raffle.
FESTIVALS
• West Austintown United Methodist Church, 6749 Mahoning Ave. at Turner Road, is having a fall festival from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Included will be free clothing, games for children, a trash and treasure sale, a bake sale, a dunking booth and food and beverages. There will be a silent auction including a basket with items signed by OSU coach Jim Tressel.
FUNDRAISERS
• Charlie’s Angels of St. Charles Church in Boardman will have its second annual Fall Harvest of Vendors from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 7 in St. Charles Social Hall on Route 224. Admission and parking are free. There will be a Chinese auction, a 50-50 raffle and refreshments. Take a canned food item and receive a free ticket for the Chinese auction.
SALES
• Girard High School First Robotics Team 379 will sponsor a giant trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. .to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Girard City Gym. A bake sale and a 50-50 raffle will also be featured. Admission is free. Included will be some household items, furniture, collectibles, children’s clothing and many other bargains.
• Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will have its 23rd annual Trash ’N Treasure Sale at the church from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 7 (half-price after 2 p.m.) For more information, call (330) 788-8707.
• Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, is having its annual fall Rummage Sale on Nov. 5, 6 and 7 at the church. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 5, bake-sale day; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 6, half-price day; and Nov 7, from 9 a.m. to noon, $1-a-bag day. Lunch will be served on Thursday and Friday.
• St. James Episcopal Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will have its annual Fall Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m .to 3 p.m. Friday, which is half-price day. Good fall and winter clothing, jewelry, household items, books and toys will be offered.
