Pa. man charged with assaulting police horse


INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — Police have charged a man with assaulting a state police horse after homecoming festivities at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Police say 37-year-old Reed Ciotti of Indiana, Pa., pushed the horse and then grabbed the animal’s reins when police asked Ciotti to move out of the area. Police say this all happened about 1:35 a.m. Sunday.

Ciotti was taken to the Indiana County Jail on charges including assault on a police animal and resisting arrest but has posted bond and is now free.
