Cornersburg Sparkle Market and nearby plaza to get $1M renovation
CORNERSBURG — The owners of Cornersburg Sparkle Market plan to spend $1 million to renovate the store and adjacent plaza.
“As a business owner in the Cornersburg area, we have a responsibility to maintain and improve our community whenever possible,” said Vince Furrie Jr., co-owner of the store and plaza.
The store renovations will include a renovation to the front entrance of the store and its lobby. A higher ceiling also will be installed.
In addition, three businesses are being moved from a separate building near the plaza. That building, which used to house Mr. B’s, will be torn down to create more parking.
The businesses will be relocated into spaces inside the plaza that will be renovated. The businesses are Storey Chiropractic, Christian Bookstore and Youngstown Firefighter’s Credit Union.
Furrie is part of an ownership group that operates Sparkle stores in Cornersburg, Beaver Township, Columbiana, Salem and Lisbon.
