GRANVILLE — The Hiram College football team committed four turnovers which led to 28 points in the North Coast Athletic Conference loss at Deeds-Piper Stadium. The Terriers drop to 0-5, 0-3 NCAC. The Big Red improved to 2-3, 1-2 NCAC. Denison recorded the game’s first points in the first quarter on a blocked punt that was recovered by Hiram in its own end zone resulting in a safety. Following the ensuing free-kick, Denison marched 50 yards in four plays capped by a 1-yard touchdown run by Nick Krempasky to increase the lead to 9-0. The final two possessions for the Big Red resulted in a pair of touchdowns as Denison led 23-0 after the first quarter. Denison totaled 429 yards of total offense (225 rushing and 204 passing) and was led by running back duo of Dan Crawford and Krempasky. Crawford had a team-high 74 yards on 10 carries and a TD. Krempasky finished the game with 73 yards on 19 carries and a pair of scores. Quarterback Nick Stephens completed 13-of-19 passes for 204 yards and a TD. Hiram had 180 yards of offense (48 rushing and 132 passing). Junior wide receiver Glenn Campbell led the team in both rushing and receiving, carrying the ball five times for 36 yards and caught five passes for 32 yards. Freshman quarterback Brendan Rehor completed 14-of-24 passes for 78 yards, but threw three interceptions. Freshman wideout Kyle Callari caught four passes for a team-high 42 yards. Defensively, senior lineman Tyrone Mixon had a game-high nine tackles, including two tackles for loss and one-and-a-half sacks.
