Rappachs’ 50th is the cause for a celebration

Bob and Karen Rappach celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 26.

Bob Rappach and the former Karen Lay were married at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Vienna, where they are still members.

The couple have three children: Bob Jr. and Linda Rappach of Vienna, Tim and Kate Rappach of Stewart, Fla., and Patricia and Frank Ferry of Fowler. They also have six grandchildren: Frank, Victoria, Bobby, Natalie, Rob and Dylan.

Mr. Rappach, who was a golf superintendent at Candywood Golf Club for more than 35 years, is now semiretired but still working at Candywood. He was also superintendent at Avalon Golf Course for a number of years.

Mrs. Rappach was secretary at St. Vincent de Paul Church for several years, and then she and her husband were co-owners of A Place Called Hair Inc. She is now retired.
