Warren church prepares for annual holiday bazaar
WARREN— Tod Avenue United Methodist Women, 155 Tod Ave. N.W., will have their annual Holiday Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m Oct. 17.
A creamed chicken and biscuit dinner will be served from 4-6 p.m. at a cost of $6 for adults and $4 for children. Reservations must be made by Sunday by calling (330) 638-2597, (330) 392-1811 or (339( 393-3859. Homemade cinnamon rolls and coffee will be served beginning at 10 a.m.
Northeast Homeowners to meet on Tuesday
YOUNGSTOWN — The Northeast Homeowners and Concerned Citizens Association will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave.
John A. McNally, Mahoning County Commissioner, will be the guest speaker. McNally will share information regarding the duties and responsibilities of a county commissioner.

Seminar to include trunk show, luncheon
WARREN — The Niles Chapter of the American Sewing Guild will sponsor an all-day seminar, trunk show and luncheon from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31 at Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St.
Featured will be Judy Fenton, sewing educator, designer and TV personality, who will demonstrate one-of-a-kind wearable art.
The cost is $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers and includes a full lunch. The reservation deadline is Friday. For more information call (330) 847-7549.
Music’s healing power to be seminar topic
SALEM — The healing power of music will be discussed during Salem Community Hospital’s Annual Oncology Seminar on Monday.
The featured speaker, Deforia Lane, Ph.D., will present “Music as Medicine,” an uplifting discussion that will inspire cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones.
The event will take place at the Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St., Columbiana. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for a health fair, refreshments and door prize registration. Lane’s program will begin at 7 p.m. The seminar is free and open to the public; preregistration is required by calling the Salem Community Hospital Public Relations Department at (330) 332-7227.

BOARDMAN — RC’s Forum, sponsored by RC Compounding Pharmacy, 3030 Center Road, Poland, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. Ray Carlson, registered pharmacist, will touch on health care reform issues. Dr. Jeffrey Romig, the guest speaker, will talk about male/female hormonal systems and their effect on aging, postpartum depression, midlife depression, and fat/muscle metabolism.
