Church to mark opening of new addition
CANFIELD — Canfield Presbyterian Church will mark the opening of a new addition to its church building with a dedication and open house Sunday.
The congregation was founded in 1804, and the present sanctuary was built in 1903. An education wing was added in the early 1960s. The new addition will provide elevator access to all levels of the church. It includes a drive-through portico for ease of access to the new entrance. The ground floor contains new church offices and meeting space. The upper level is a large gathering room with a new entrance to the back of the sanctuary. This room also provides space for fellowship and larger group meetings.
The dedication worship services will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday with a procession through the new addition. A public open house with tours will be from 1 to 3 p.m. The public is welcome.
