Boardman Township Fire Department's safety day is Saturday

BOARDMAN — “Stay Fire Smart: Don’t Get Burned” is the theme of the township fire department’s safety day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the main fire station, 136 Boardman-Poland Road.

Tour the station, see live burn demonstrations, participate in interactive fire extinguisher classes, view an extrication demonstration and learn fire safety tips. Firefighters will give out free helmets, stickers, and coloring books to children. Refreshments provided.
