18th annual Taste of the Valley to benefit local food bank is Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN — The 18th annual Taste of the Valley to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Stambaugh Auditorium, Wick Avenue, on the city’s North Side.

More than 25 of the Mahoning Valley’s finest dining establishments will donate their time and talents to present an array of appetizers, entrees and desserts to more than 400 expected guests.

This year, Taste of the Valley’s sponsors include more than 45 businesses, civic groups, religious organizations and individuals.

A live and Chinese auction presented by Richard Basinger and music by Stan Miller and Kelly Connors will be a part of the evening’s festivities. Auction items include vacations, airline tickets, original artwork and jewelry.

All funds raised at the event will be used to feed hungry people in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
