Taylor tough as East beats YCS
YOUNGSTOWN — Rashayla Taylor had four kills and two blocks; Jayne Roland had three kills, six assists and 10 points serving and Tadajsa Green had 19 points serving for the East High volleyball team, which defeated Youngstown Christian in three sets on Wednesday.
The scores were 25-11, 25-16, 25-19.
Senior Summer Lucky had nine kills, 10 digs, three points and one block; sophomore Dana Coyier had 12 assists and three points and sophomore Ashley Powell had three points, four kills and 18 digs and freshman Shanell Harris had five points and 10 digs for Youngstown Christian.
JVs: East 17-25, 25-23, 25-18.
Wellsville 25-25-25, Sebring 16-13-13
SEBRING — Sarah Drysdale had 18 kills, while Shawnpae Dillared added three aces and five kills to lead Wellsville (11-7, 6-3 ITCL Tier Two) past Sebring.
Noelle Amaco had 35 assists for the Tigers.
Emily Dickens had three points, one ace, 21 sets and six assists for Sebring (2-13, 1-9). Taylor Nannah added seven kills and 8 blocks while Taylor Ward had three points, four kills, five blocks and 15 digs.
