Polish Happy Hour marks its first anniversary tonight at The Lemon Grove, 122 W. Federal St., downtown Youngstown, beginning at 5:30 p.m. To mark the event, Andrew Bak, brand manager for Bison Grass Vodka, will fly in from New York to give a lesson in vodka infusions. Bison Grass is one of Poland’s most popular imports and is also a sponsor of PolishYoungstown’s happy hour.

Canadian photographer Larry Towell has made a name for himself internationally with his work depicting displaced people around the globe. His work can be seen in an exhibition at the McDonough Museum on Wick Avenue. Towell himself will appear at the Chestnut Room inside Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus at 7 p.m. Friday, where he will present a multi-media performance that will also include original music and poetry.
The Main Street Grille & Brewing Co. of Garrettsville presents The Harvest Moon Beer Festival, a craft beer tasting festival featuring 21 award-winning craft breweries, food vendors, music and more, at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. Two tasting sessions will be held: noon until 3 p.m., and 5 p.m. til 8 p.m. Ticket price includes admission to one session and a full day and evening of fun. Twenty-one brewers — including Youngstown’s Rust Belt Brewing Co. — will offer their wares.
