Kiwanis club seats new president

IN WITH THE NEW: Dave Pinney of North Jackson, president of the Kiwanis Club of Western Mahoning County, hands over the gavel to the incoming president, Barbara Smith of Girard. Thomas A. Phillips, vice president of the Butler Wick division of Stifel Nicolaus, spoke at a recent club meeting. Phillips, of Poland, is a financial adviser. He told the club about recent trends in the investment market. The Western Mahoning County Kiwanis Club includes the areas of Berlin Center, Canfield, Ellsworth, Lake Milton and North Jackson. Meetings take place at 6 p.m. Wednesdays at A La Cart in Canfield.
