• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today and Oct. 14 at the church. THURSDAY

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

• VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with meatballs, salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Carryouts are $6.25.

FRIDAY

• American Legion F.D.R. Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell, will serve fish or shrimp dinners from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Meals include macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw or haluski, and bread and butter. There will be a 50-50 raffle. • Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. Meals include baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. • Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. • St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. • Masury United Methodist Church will have a roast beef dinner and Chinese auction from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Brookfield Fire Hall, 774 state Route 7, Brookfield. Dinner will be served buffet-style and takeouts will be available. The donation is $8 for adults, $4 for 3-12, and free for 2 and under. • New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St., will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Donations will be taken for the building fund. Salem Visiting Nurses will be giving flu shots from 9-11 a.m. for $20, which can be paid through Medicare if applicable.

• Winona Ruritan Club will sponsor a pancake and sausage breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Willow Grove Grange Hall on Georgetown Road, about 1 mile west of the Salem-Route 45 bypass. The meal will feature all-you-can-eat for $7 for adults and $4.50 for children (6-12). Also, sausage and homemade scrapple will be for sale. Proceeds will be used to fund community needs.

SUNDAY

• Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, will have a homemade chicken noodle soup dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Meals include half a baked chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, desserts and coffee. • Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will have its fall spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the school cafeteria. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children under 10. The meal includes meat sauce prepared from Monsignor DeMarinis’ recipe, two meatballs, salad, bread and butter, cake and coffee. A Chinese auction will also be featured. • St. Charles Knights of Columbus, 7345 Westview Drive, Boardman, is sponsoring a fundraising spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. with veal and chicken Parmesan also available. Prices for spaghetti and meatballs is $7 for adults and $5 for children; veal and chicken meals are $8. All dinners include bread, salad, cake and beverage. The Knights will acknowledge and pay tribute to all military personnel since Sept. 11, 2001, who are in attendance.
