YOUNGSTOWN — The wedding of Curtis A. Forest and Pamela P. Hightower, both of Youngstown, took place at 4 p.m. June 6 at Beulah Temple United Holy Church of America.

Pastor L. E. Freeman officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of Thomas Sr. and Ernestine Hall of Youngstown, and son of Charlotte Plater of Youngstown and the late Ernest Plater.

The couple were honored during a reception at Willow Creek Banquet Center in Girard before leaving for a honeymoon at Waikiki in Hawaii. They live in Youngstown.

The bride’s ivory gown was embellished with re-embroidered lace, crystal beading and sequins. It featured shoulder straps and was accented with pink satin at the waist and on the semicathedral train.

The bride’s sister and honor attendant, Denise Reed, wore a pink gown, as did the bridesmaid, Alexia Burney, a daughter of the groom. Flower girl was the bride’s niece, Mailien Scott.

The duties of best man were performed by Floyd Showers, and groomsman was Sterling Hightower, a son of the bride. Ring bearer was her nephew, Gavaughn Hornbuckle.

The bride is employed at Akron Children’s Hospital of Mahoning Valley, and the groom is employed at Delphi in Warren.
