BOARDMAN — An Overhill Road man was lodged in the Mahoning County jail, accused of threatening his girlfriend and the woman’s daughter at knife point.

Paul Mullins, 57, is charged with two counts of felonious assault and one count each of kidnapping, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

He is scheduled to appear today in Mahoning County Court.

Police were called about 9 a.m. Saturday to Overhill on a report of a man holding a woman at knife point.

Officers found Mullins in the driveway and ordered him to the ground. When Mullins refused to comply, officers used a stun gun and Mullins fell to the ground. He was handcuffed and taken to a cruiser.

The woman, 34, told police that Mullins was her live-in boyfriend and that she was in the process of breaking up with him. The conversation led to a physical confrontation, and Mullins pushed the woman and her 15-year-old daughter around the house and grabbed the woman around the neck, she said.

He then pulled out a knife and pointed it at both the woman and girl, the woman said, and prevented them from leaving the home.
