AUCTIONS

BINGO, CARD PARTIES
• St. Brendan Altar & Rosary Society is sponsoring its annual Fall Bingo and Card Party at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 in Maxwell Hall (enter from back parking lot), 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown. Admission is $5 and includes lunch.
• St. Patrick Altar Guild will sponsor a salad buffet, card, bingo and game day from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 25 in the church social hall, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. There will be a special drawing and door prizes. Tickets are $5 and are available from any member, by calling the rectory at (330) 743-1109, or at the door. Guests are asked to take their own cards.
• Women’s Guild of St. Vincent De Paul Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will sponsor a card party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church hall. There will be door and table prizes and a light lunch. Admission is $5. Patrons are asked to take their own cards and board games.
CRAFT SHOWS

• Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., is having a fall Trash and Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Thursday will be bargain-bag day. Coffee and doughnuts will be available.
• Coldwell Banker First Place Agents will sponsor a fall Harvest Sale from 9 a.m. until all items are sold on Saturday at 1275 Boardman-Poland Road, Boardman. Pumpkins, apples, apple cider, mums, cornstalks, ribbons, gift baskets and baked goods will be available. Proceeds will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank. Monetary donations will be appreciated.

• Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open Thursday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. TRIPS
• St. Paul Church in Salem is accepting reservations for a holiday bus trip on Dec. 6 to Columbus. The trip package includes tickets to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra’s two-hour matinee of “Holiday Pops 2009” with a chorus, children’s choir and Ballet Met dancers, and a guided tour of Franklin Park Conservatory and the Chiluly Exhibit.
