Surplus Outlet Store opens in Champion

CHAMPION — The Surplus Outlet Store has opened at 5400 Oakhill Drive. Wally Byler, the store owner, has another location in Middlefield. The Surplus Outlet Store offers Cherokee Hardwoods, which includes hardwood flooring and log cabin products, and specializes in cabinet construction. It also is a wholesaler of doors, drawers and shelving.

Apprenticeship program accepting applications

VIENNA — The Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties Cement Masons and Plasterers Joint Apprenticeship Program is accepting applications for a class of cement masons.

Applications will be accepted at the Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, 1372 Youngstown-Kingsville Road from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m. Nov. 9-13. Applicants must bring a high school transcript, military service certificate of completion if applicable and a birth certificate or driver’s license.
