CANFIELD — Dylan Seybert scored both goals for Canfield. Jordan Ricks and P.J. Stickle assisted. Salem’s goal was scored by Bradley Larson. Salem goalkeeper Kenny Saltsman made six saves while Mike Thomas stopped two for the Cardinals. JVs: 0-0.
Ursuline 1, Edgewood 1
YOUNGSTOWN — John Buckley scored with an assist from Sean Coffey for Ursuline (6-3-3). Sean Butler scored with an assist from Tyler Wright for Edgewood. Irish goalkeeper Alex Myers made seven saves while Edgewood goalkeeper Scott Hignite had eight saves.
GIRLS
Beaver Local 3, Springfield 3
NEW MIDDLETOWN — Jaclyn Tabaka scored two goals and Lexy Zubick one for Springfield. Goalkeeper Tiffany Johnson made nine saves for the Tigers.
Missy Headly, Allie Bangor and Jessica Fair scored Beaver Local’s goals. Goalkeeper Kim Rotellini made 11 saves.
Poland 7, Ursuline 1
YOUNGSTOWN — Rachael Ames and Carolyn Balzano scoeed three goals each to lead Poland (9-1-1) at Wick Recreation Area. Rachael Robertson scored the other goal while Jordan Palumbo and Lindsey Cooper had two assists apiece. Peyton Maurer and Madison Brooker also had assists. Brittany Curd scored Ursuline’s goal. Poland goalkeeper Taylor Erdel made two saves while Ursuline’s (6-7-1) Anita Smith and Jessica McGary combined for 11 saves.
Chagrin Falls 3, Howland 0
CHAGRIN FALLS — Erika Ilkanich, Kara Schach and Katherine Lipp had the goals for Chagrin Falls (10-1-1). Rorie Chaffee had an assist. Erika Nites made four saves in goals for Howland (8-2-1) while Chagrin Falls goalkeeper Morgan Liber had two stops. JVs: 0-0.
Akron Hoban 6, Mooney 0
STRUTHERS — Mooney (3-7-2) goalkeeper Jenn Lawrence made 12 saves and Rachel Letscher six on Senior Night at Valley Sports. Mooney seniors honored were Lawrence, Brigid Trewella, Alexa Tkacik, Stephanie Gonda and Breanne Donoghue. JVs: Hoban, 7-0.
LaBrae 5, Bristol 2
BRISTOLVILLE — Sophomore Gabby Borawiec had two goals and one assist while sophomore Julie Gibson had two goals for LaBrae. Senior Sarah Ancell had the other goal for the Vikings (8-3-2). Katelyn Downey contributed two assists and Jessica Buck had one assist for the winners. For Bristol, senior Jessie Pajestka and junior Katlyn Rasmussen scored, while freshman Allyson Jones had an assist for the Panthers (7-4-1). LaBrae goalkeeper Kelsie Daniels had three saves while Heidi Ulrich had nine stops for Bristol.
