Old-Fashioned Christmas returns to Shaker Woods

COLUMBIANA — The 15th annual Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods at Shaker Woods will be Oct. 10-11 and 17-18, with 200 quality craftspeople and artisans.
Crafters, who will be in costume, include candle-makers, leatherworkers, woodworkers, doll-makers and basket weavers. Hand-thrown pottery and iron and stone work also will be available. Their booths will be decorated in old-fashioned holiday themes.
B.E. Taylor will return to Christmas in the Woods both weekends, performing songs from his Christmas CDs and original music from his other releases.
Another favorite is Vanessa Campagna, who will perform all four days. Campagna has performed with Reba McEntire, Tricia Yearwood, Vince Gill, Clint Black and Dierks Bentley.
Bluegrass group the Beaver Creek Band is scheduled to perform the first weekend.
Three new additions to the entertainment line-up are Flipside, a Sweet Adeline quartet; Joyful Sound, a handbell choir; and the Good News Blues, Christian music. Other live entertainment includes the Free Spirit Cloggers and Bob Bellamy, accompanied by Wendy Barlow.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day, rain or shine. Admission is $7 (free for children 12 and under). Strollers are not recommended.
Bus tours are welcome, and group rates are available.
