Ohio lawmakers tape comedy bit for Leno

WASHINGTON — Two Ohio members of Congress have turned comedy duo in bits taped for NBC’s “The Jay Leno Show.”

Cleveland Democrat Dennis Kucinich and Northeast Ohio Republican Steve LaTourette discuss the state of bipartisan relations in funny business recorded on Capitol Hill on Monday with comedian D.L. Hughley. A Leno spokeswoman says the prime-time show hasn’t set an air date for the skits.

The lawmakers are sharing few details about their unscripted segments, though Kucinich says unlike much now happening in Washington, it’s stuff people may find entertaining.

LaTourette calls his colleague “a comic genius” and says the two of them could bill themselves as another Penn and Teller, except that Kucinich talks too much.
