Park, fire station plan open house for public

HUBBARD — Tylee Park and the Eagle Joint Fire Station are having an open house from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Visitors can see the remodeled fire station, meet Hubbard volunteer firemen and watch a live demonstration of the Jaws of Life. The Max Doyle Trio, made up of Dana School of Music students, will play in the gazebo.

There will be games for the kids in the park, and artist Charles Hughes of C&C Ironworks will be there. The volunteer firemen and Tylee Park will be serving hot dogs, cookies, doughnuts, cider and hot chocolate.

The park’s restoration is funded solely by donations, and the work is by volunteers. To donate, send a check to the Hubbard Area Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 177, Hubbard, OH, 44425. Put Tylee Park in the memo and it will go into the Tylee Park Fund at Huntington Bank.
