SEASONAL FLU VACCINE | Clinic sites

The Vindicator will publish a daily listing of flu-vaccine clinic sites in the Mahoning and Shenango valleys during the seasonal-flu season and add H1N1 (swine) flu clinic sites when that vaccine becomes available. Providers may charge for the seasonal-flu vaccine, but the H1N1 vaccine will be provided free by the government. However, in all cases, providers may bill patients’ private insurance and Medicare and Medicaid for administering the vaccine. The Mahoning County District Board of Health is urging providers to administer the vaccine free of charge if patients don’t have insurance or the ability to pay. For information about the seasonal and N1N1 influenza viruses, people can go to the county health department’s Web site: mahoninghealth.org.
