Hughes’ 3 goals lead Boardman to victory
CANTON — Heather Hughes scored three goals to lead the Boardman High girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Canton GlenOak in a Federal League game Wednesday.
Hailey Dickey had two assists and Danielle Petrus one. Goalkeeper Cheyenne Khatib made eight saves for the Spartans (9-2-0, 4-0-0 Federal).
Nicki Becks made seven saves for GlenOak (9-2-1, 2-2-0).
JVs: GlenOak 1-0.
Fitch 4, Uniontown Lake 0
UNIONTOWN — Kelsey Martin and Tori Koch each scored a goal and had an assist for Fitch (6-3-2, 3-1 Federal League). Ali Tolich had three saves and Alex Wells eight.
Lake is 6-5-1, 1-3.
JVs: Fitch 2-0.
Howland 2, Canfield 0
HOWLAND — Gina Albani and Alexis Vardavas each scored one goal as Howland (8-1-1, 3-0-1 AAC Red) turned back Canfield.
It was Albani’s ninth goal of the season. Gina Wall and Jessica Wilson each assisted on a goal for the Tigers. Erika Nites had three saves for Howland.
Canfield (6-1-4, 1-1-2) had a total of four saves from Jackie Podolsky and Kelly Fenning.
Champion 6, LaBrae 0
CHAMPION — Paige Loychik scored three goals while Taryn Hanna scored two and made an assist for the Golden Flashes (6-3-4, 3-0-2 All-American Conference White Tier).
Hannah Day scored the other goal while Taylor Petersal made six saves. Kelsie Daniel made 18 saves. for LaBrae (7-3-2, 2-2-2).
Crestview 5, Springfield 5
COLUMBIANA — Emily Corll scored four goals and Erika Cox added one for Crestview.
Jacklyn Tabaka scored three goals and Lexy Zubick added two for the Tigers. Crestview’s Megan Foster made 16 saves in goal, while Springfield’s Tiffany Johnson had eight saves.
South Range 5, Columbiana 0
Columbiana — Senior Taylor Witmer, junior Katelin Smith, sophomores Anna Cullar and Hannah Wiery and freshman Mayim Moore each scored one goal to power South Range.
Raiders’ goalies Kristin Robinson, Toni Stephenson and Rachel Coler combined for seven saves.
Columbiana goalkeeper Tori Drago made 10 saves.
Warren JFK 4, Garfield 1
WARREN — Kelli Guarnieri scored twice and Jerrica Cooper and Erin McBride each added one goal to lead Warren JFK (10-1-0).
Maxine Kasunic had the lone goal for Garfield (1-6-2). McBride also had two assists, while Lauren Rodomsky added one. Kelsey Case had two saves for the Eagles, while Kaylynn Eman made 13 saves for Garfield.
West Branch 7, Canton South 0
BELOIT — Niki Carlton, Katie Kubek and Briana Rumsey all scored two goals each and Dee Agnew added one to lead the Warriors.
Carlton, Agnew and Brandi Snyder all had assists for West Branch. The Warriors held Canton South to just four shots and Sierra Woolf and Dee Agnew stopped all four.
Bristol 3, Pymatuning Valley 1
ANDOVER — Jessie Pajestka, Michelle Termine and Katlyn Rasmussen scored goals for the Panthers (7-3-1, 4-1 Northeastern Athletic Conference).
Rasmussen and Bobbi Hartzell had assists while goalkeeper Heidi Ulrich made 18 saves. For Pymatuning Valley, Brooke Monnolly scored and Lauren Seman made eight saves.

Cardinal Mooney 3, Erie Prep 1
STRUTHERS — Senior Thomas Beck scored two goals and junior Ryan Yavorsky added another as Mooney (6-4-2) toppled Erie Prep.
Eric Ehrenberg had two assists and Yavorsky one for the Cardinals, while David Perry had five saves in goal. Brad Colvin scored Prep’s lone goal, while Mitchell Mack had seven saves.

Ursuline 4, Grand River 2
YOUNGSTOWN — Senior John Buckley scored three goals for the Irish, while freshman John Crowe added the fourth goal. Assists were by Alex Huber, Mike Vanes and two by Ben Smith.
Nick Roman and Dong Lee scored the goals for Grand River. Mike Baker had 12 saves for the Irish (5-4-2. Logan Williams had 14 saves for Grand River.
South Range 2, Columbiana 0
NORTH LIMA — Jordan Baker and Joel Skidmore scored the goals for South Range (8-2-2).
Isaac Schuster made six saves.

Boardman 3, GlenOak 1
BOARDMAN — Sophomore Christian Silvestri had all three goals for Boardman (7-2-2, 2-1-1 Federal), while sophomore Drew Rober had two assists and junior Zaire Morrison another.
Jordan Stemple scored for GlenOak (6-4-1).
Boardman senior goalie Garrett Pancake had five saves, while GlenOak goalie Troy Wagner made stops two saves.
