A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

Sept. 25

Menacing: Police made an arrest after a clerk with a West Liberty Street business reported two irate males had shouted obscenities. She refused to sell beer to one of the males because he lacked proper identification, a report said.

Theft: Two people fishing in a wooded area near East Water Street reported an MP3 player stolen.

Fraud: An Elizabeth Street man found a fraudulent transaction had been made to his account.

Sept. 26

Burglary: To a Highland Drive home, where a go-cart, three bicycles and a lawn mower were missing.

Theft: Items were stolen from Circle K, 211 W. Liberty St.

Sept. 27

Theft: A license plate was removed from a vehicle in the 500 block of West Liberty Street.

Sept. 28

Possible auto theft: Officers received a report of a possible stolen 2000 Buick Century in the 300 block of Myron Street.

Theft: Two people, no information given, were charged with attempted theft, accused of leaving Rite Aid Pharmacy, 147 W. Liberty St., with a shopping cart filled with unpaid merchandise.

Sept. 29

Menacing: A Prescott Street woman reported receiving harassing phone calls and that a man is stalking her.

Criminal mischief: A vehicle in the 100 block of West Liberty Street had two of its tires flattened.

Theft: Medications were stolen from an apartment in the 300 block of West Liberty Street.

Fraud: A Woodland Avenue woman accused a man of using her debit card without authorization.

LIBERTY

Sept. 25

Drugs: Officers responded to a fight near state Route 193 and charged a Youngstown man, 62, with possession of a dangerous drug.

Theft/damage: Someone in the 10 block of Holly Drive broke a car’s rear window before removing a $300 DVD/compact-disc player.

Misuse of a credit card: A Lynn Drive woman discovered a $51 unauthorized charge to her credit card that had been made overseas.

Sept. 27

Arrest: A 16-year-old Youngstown boy faced a felony charge of possession of criminal tools after being pulled over near Fifth Avenue. A digital scale with possible drug residue was found, a report said.

Theft: Two teenagers were detained after being accused of stealing a wristwatch, a fingernail kit and a skirt from Wal-Mart, 200 Goldie Road. No charges, however, had been filed at the time of the report.

Assault: An 18-year-old man told police he had been punched several times in the head and face during a fight near Millicent Avenue.

Theft: Fifteen CDs, a global positioning system device and a wallet were stolen from a car in the 4000 block of Monticello Boulevard.

Sept. 28

Breaking and entering: Someone forcibly entered a garage in the 1700 block of Lincoln Avenue, then took a four-wheel vehicle, an air compressor and a power tool.

Theft: A $400 yard statue was stolen in the 4700 block of East Drive.

Theft: Numerous blank prescription forms were missing from a Logan Way doctor’s office.

Sept. 29

Arrest: The Ohio State Highway Patrol handed a Youngstown woman, 27, to Liberty authorities. She was wanted on a charge of falsification.

GIRARD

Sept. 27

Breaking and entering: A garage in the 300 block of Indiana Avenue was entered. Stolen from a vehicle was a $100 stereo/CD player.

Aggravated menacing: A Mosier Road man told police two people had threatened to shoot him in the face.

Theft: A set of keys was among the items missing from an apartment in the 900 block of Patricia Drive.

Sept. 28

Criminal mischief: Eggs were thrown at a residence in the 400 block of East Broadway Avenue.

Sept. 29

Theft: A bicycle was stolen off a front porch in the 200 block of East Wilson Avenue.

Theft: A $30,000 trailer was taken from property in the 1100 block of South State Street.

Assault: A Patricia Drive woman reported another woman pulled the accuser’s hair and struck her in the face.

Theft: An East Broadway Avenue man accused his former girlfriend of stealing two dogs, clothing and other personal effects from his apartment.
