HERE’S HOW TO FOLLOW THE PHANTOMS

There are a number of choices for fans of the Youngstown Phantoms to follow the team in their opening season in the United States Hockey League.

First, of course, is to purchase tickets for home games at the Covelli Centre.

Tickets can be purchased at the Covelli Centre ticket office, by calling (330) 747-7825 or by going to the team’s Web site, youngstownphantoms.com.

If you can’t get to the game or the team is on the road, all Phantoms games will be broadcast live on WBBW-AM (1240).

The games will also be webcast on wbbw.com. Matt Gajtka, who serves as the Phantoms director of broadcasting and media relations, will provide the play-by-play on the broadcasts.

Gajtka will also host a weekly show called Phantoms Phever, devoted to the Phantoms, on WBBW every Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m.

As a secondary option for game nights, the B2 Networks offer a Youngstown Phantoms season pass at b2tv.com. Fans can watch the action live via streaming video while listening to the game’s corresponding play-by-play audio broadcast.

There’s more access for the Phantoms at the team’s Web site, and fans can follow the Phantoms at “ytownphantoms” on Twitter and friending “Youngstown Phantoms” on Facebook.
