Heartland wins in five over Clippers
COLUMBIANA — Tessa Lunger scored 20 points with seven aces to lead the Heartland Christian volleyball team to a five-game victory over Columbiana.
Lunger also made six digs, 14 kills and three blocks as Heartland won by scores of 11-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-27 and 15-9.
Danielle Fry scored 15 points and made 10 digs, nine kills and two blocks for Heartland (10-2). Sarah Easley scored 12 points and made 23 digs, three kills and one block.
Lauren Mitchell scored 16 points with an ace and made eight digs, five kills, one block and 39 assists.
For the Clippers, Katie Witmer scored 16 points with three aces and made five digs, 12 kills and eight blocks. Kristi Couchenour scored 10 points with three aces 16 digs, 11 kills and seven blocks.
Maria Voitus scored seven points and made 52 assists.

Ursuline 25-26-19-25, Newton Falls 18-24-25-22
NEWTON FALLS — Dominique Jenkins had 18 points, 13 kills and eight blocks to pace Ursuline (5-8).
Shamia Harrison added 27 points and four aces while Aurielle Irizarry made 26 passes and six kills to reinforce the Irish.
For Newton Falls (2-11), Destiny Prusky had four blocks, 25 kills, three aces and seven digs.
Lindsay Brockway had four aces, five digs, nine assists and one kill, while Tori Milani contributed two blocks, nine digs and five kills.

Mooney 25-25-25, Youngstown Christian 11-12-14
YOUNGSTOWN — Dana Coyer scored three aces and made 21 sets and seven assists, Summer Lucky made three kills while Shanell Harris made one block and three kills for the Eagles (1-15).

LEETONIA — Staci Medved scored 16 digs and Clarissa Perkins added 24 points and three aces for Leetonia (8-8).
Lauren Ketterman added nine kills while Ashley Roselle made six blocks for the Bears.
Kristin Murray had 20 digs, while Taylor Zeigler added nine digs for Malvern (0-14).
