Danny and the FOG will make its debut Thursday night at Rosetta Stone in downtown Youngstown. The band comprises five seasoned musicians and ranges musically from rock to blues to R&B. The annual Boardman Rotary Club Oktoberfest is this weekend in Boardman Park, on Route 224. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. About 15,000 people are expected to attend, and there will be free shuttle service from the Southwoods medical facility parking lot, as well as the Southern Park Mall lot, behind Dillard’s. Admission is $3 at the gate. Featured this year is a Hi-Ya Challenge (that’s the sound one makes when doing a karate punch). Yes, there could be some Guinness Book of Records glory in this.
