AUCTIONs

• Girard Band Boosters will have an auction at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at McMenamy’s, 325 Youngstown-Warren Road, Niles. The cost is $15 and includes dinner of champagne chicken, garlic whipped potatoes, green beans, salad, bread and dessert. Coffee, water and soft drinks will be provided. There will be a cash bar. • Triangle Post 2799 and Auxiliary will have a Christmas Auction and bake sale at 4 p.m. Sunday at the post home, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield. Proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund. Food and beverages will be available.

CRAFT SHOWS

• The senior class of Canfield High School will sponsor a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school, 100 Cardinal Drive, Canfield. Admission, parking and shuttle service are free. There will be two concessions, a Chinese auction, and a 50-50 raffle.

• Clarks Mills United Methodist Church, 3813 Hadley Road, Clarks Mills, Pa., will have a craft, rummage and bake sale and a Chinese auction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Lunch of homemade soups, pies and sandwiches will be available, and soup will be sold by the quart.

• Leetonia PTO will sponsor a Christmas craft show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 12. Vendors can take their own tables and chairs and rent a spot for $20. Call (330) 427-2788 or (330) 427-6088. In conjunction with the event Leetonia Band Boosters will have a Breakfast With Santa from 7 to 10 a.m.

DANCES

• USA Dance, Youngstown-Warren Ballroom Dancers Association, will have a Snowflake Ball from 4 to 9 p.m. Dec. 13 at Avon Oaks Ballroom, 1401 N. State St., Girard. There will be a buffet dinner and dance by advance ticket sales only. Today is the last day to purchase tickets, which are $35 for members, $40 for nonmembers, and $25 for students. FLEA MARKETS

• VA clinic volunteers will sponsor a flea market and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Belmont VA Clinic, 2031 Belmont Ave. Donations of everything except clothing and shoes will be welcome. There will be free coffee.

SALES

• Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, 480 Youngstown-Poland Road, Struthers, is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The ReStore carries a wide variety of furniture, including a large selection of couches and many large metal professional office desks; used building materials such as doors, windows, sinks, hardware and plumbing; lighting; home decor items; large and small appliances; electronics; toys; books and much more. All items are sold at low discount prices. ReStore takes donations and sells to the public, all to benefit Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program. • Salvation Army Thrift Store in Austin Center, Mahoning Avenue, Austintown, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. A variety of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and bric-a-brac is available at bargain prices.

SPECIAL EVENTS

• Coalburg United Methodist Church will have variety movie night at 7 p.m. Sunday. The event will include DVD clips from the 1991, 1996 and 2003 shows, as well as some new skits. Cookies and punch will be provided during intermission. Admission cost is $5 for adults; children under 12 will get in free. DVDs of the shows will be on sale.
