1418 AUXILIARY
• Seniors of the 1418 Auxiliary will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Byzantine Center, 3801 Shady Run Road. John Texter will preside. Cancellations must by made by Monday to Kay Shabella at (330) 755-0459. Any after that date will not be accepted. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and cards and bingo will be played. Refreshments will be served.

CORNERSBURG
• Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield, with Betsy Koneval presiding. The cost for the dinner is $10. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. Musical entertainment will be by Brandy and Heidi Metzler.
Illnesses should be reported to Eleanor Zuby, (330) 799-7127. Anyone over 55 and retired is invited to be a guest at one of the organization’s meetings by reserving lunch with Koneval at (330) 793-7755. Annual dues are $5.
FREETIMERS
• Youngstown State University Retirees will have a breakfast at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Denny’s Restaurant on state Route 224 in Boardman. All retirees, spouses and friends are welcome.
MARTHA LUPSE
• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Douglas Martin will give the devotions, and a Christmas luncheon of stuffed chicken breast with all the trimmings will be served. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. ST. CHARLES OVER-55
• St. Charles Over-55 Club will meet at noon Dec. 8 in the social hall for a Christmas party. Cost is $8 per person. There will be a luncheon, games and prizes. For more information, call Carolyn Valensi at (330) 726-2375.

• Laverne Cox will preside when members of St. Nicholas Senior Citizens meet at Dec. 8 at Great Hall. The meeting, with entertainment, will begin at 10 a.m. Reservations are due Wednesday. New members are welcome.
