A summary of recent criminal activity in Hubbard, Liberty and Girard:

HUBBARD

Nov. 20

Menacing: An East Liberty Street man told police another man had threatened him.

Arrest: A township juvenile wanted by Trumbull County Juvenile Court was picked up on South Main Street.

Theft: An undisclosed sum of money was taken from a building in the 1400 block of Youngstown-Hubbard Road.

Nov. 21

Arrest: Brookfield police handed a man, no information provided, to Hubbard authorities. He was accused of failing to appear in court to face charges of receiving stolen property, identity fraud and forgery.

Nov. 23

Recovered property: A small bicycle was recovered in the 400 block of West Liberty Street.

Nov. 24

Criminal mischief: Police got a report of juveniles loitering and causing a disturbance at a West Liberty Street fast-food restaurant.

Theft: A bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 20 block of Rebecca Avenue.

LIBERTY

Nov. 20

Theft: A man short-changed Dutchess Dry Cleaners, 2710 Belmont Ave., by an undisclosed amount.

Arrest: Authorities checked an infant’s welfare near state Route 193 and arrested a 28-year-old Youngstown man upon learning he was wanted on a warrant from Mahoning County.

Theft: A Monticello Boulevard woman reported the theft of her mother’s wedding and engagement bands valued at a total of $2,000.

Domestic violence: A township man, 29, faced charges of domestic violence, criminal damaging and aggravated menacing. The intoxicated man punched and damaged a screen door and walls at a Tuttle Drive residence, then threatened to use a handgun to shoot police as well as the home, though no firearm was found in the residence or his car, a report said.

Breaking and entering: Someone backed a pickup truck next to and broke a window at Rental Corral, 1530 Gypsy Lane, then reached in to remove an aluminum brake. The perpetrator never set foot in the store, however, a report said.

Drugs: Officers pulled over a vehicle in the 3900 block of Belmont Avenue and charged a 29-year-old Youngstown man with possession of marijuana when, they said, two marijuana cigarettes were discovered.

Domestic violence: A township man, 44, was charged after his girlfriend alleged he had held a knife and threatened to stab her with it during an argument.

Nov. 21

Auto theft: A 1999 Chrysler vehicle was stolen in the 10 block of Holly Drive.

Nov. 22

Theft: Two gasoline cards and $140 were stolen from a car in the 900 block of Keefer Road.

Theft: A charge was pending against a Youngstown man, 54, after a $6 lock and hasp product was stolen from Wal-Mart, 200 Goldie Road.

Criminal trespassing: A 47-year-old Youngstown man was charged after employees of a Belmont Avenue fast-food restaurant reported he continually asked customers for money and refused to leave.

Nov. 23

Theft/damage: Someone drilled open a lock to a truck in the 600 block of Murray Hill Drive before removing an AM/FM/compact-disc player and a book containing about 50 CDs.

Drug paraphernalia: A traffic stop near Gypsy Lane led to a 26-year-old Youngstown man’s being given a summons when, police said, a pipe with suspected marijuana residue was found.

Theft: A 44-year-old Youngstown man was cited, accused of stealing 10 cases of soda from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Theft: Three Youngstown women, 18, 21 and 41, were charged in the theft of $134 worth of merchandise from Dollar General, 3551 Belmont Ave.

Nov. 24

Arrest: A Warren woman, 32, was taken into custody during a traffic stop near state Route 11 after officers discovered she was wanted on a probation-violation charge.

Nov. 25

Burglary: To a third-floor apartment in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive. Stolen was an Xbox game system and related accessories.

GIRARD

Nov. 22

Criminal mischief: A window was broken and sustained $100 worth of damage in the 60 block of East Liberty Street.

Burglary: To a residence in the 200 block of East Kline Street, where a Nintendo Wii system and two games were missing.

Nov. 23

Breaking and entering/vandalism: A break-in took place at Checkered Express Inc., 1560 S. State St., and a credit card was missing from an office. Also, a screwdriver had been used in an effort to open a safe, damaging the safe.

Aggravated menacing: Officers responded to a report of a brick having been tossed through a vehicle’s windshield, and a North Highland Avenue man later alleged a relative had tried to strike the accuser with the vehicle during an argument.

Nov. 24

Breaking and entering: Someone pried a door lock to a Trumbull Avenue home, though nothing seemed to be missing.

Possible theft: Someone test drove a 1997 Dodge Caravan at Direct Auto Sales Inc., 513 N. State St., but failed to return the key.
