YOUNGSTOWN — Kathleen Raymond, daughter of Robert and Robi Raymond of Austintown, and William Mertel, son of Joel and Paula Mertel of St. Mary’s, Pa., were married at 5:30 p.m. May 23 in Christman Hall at Stambaugh Auditorium.

A reception followed in the auditorium’s grand foyer and ballroom.

The bride wore a strapless white satin gown with a sweetheart neckline.

Her aunt, Jennifer Leskovac, was matron of honor, and maid of honor was Joanna Keller. They wore black and white gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Pam and Tracey Mertel, the groom’s sisters; Jennifer Garczewski, the bride’s future sister-in-law; Heather Herman; Ashley Gray; and Jessica Hathorn. Kara Reiter, the groom’s cousin, was junior bridesmaid, and flower girl was the bride’s cousin, Olivia Leskovac.

Joseph Haines was best man, and groomsmen were Dr. Christopher Raymond, the bride’s brother; Marty Haines; Daniel Moore; Daniel Hann; Ryan Corolla; and Douglas Hathorn. Ring bearers were the groom’s cousins Shane Price and Mitchell Reiter.

Mrs. Mertel graduated from Pittsburgh Technical Institute and is a client services representative for Servicelink in Moon Township, Pa. She attends Community College of Allegheny County.

Her husband also graduated from PTI with an associate degree and earned a bachelor’s degree in Management information systems from Robert Morris University. He is a technical analyst in endpoint security with FedEx Services in Pittsburgh.
