YOUNGSTOWN — Erin Kate Broderick and Andrew Deak were married at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 1 at St. Dominic Church.

The daughter of Gary and Lori Broderick, 8454 Hitchcock Road, Boardman, and son of Dr. William and Karen Deak, 11875 Castleton Lane, Grafton, exchanged vows before the Rev. Gary George.

A reception followed at the DeYor Performing Arts Center, and the couple departed for a honeymoon sailing in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. They live in Lakewood.

The bride wore a strapless ivory satin A-line gown with organza banding for the ceremony and a knee-length ruffled ivory organza halter dress for the reception.

Purple tea-length dresses were worn by the honor attendants, Jill Campbell and Catherine Hammond, and lavender dresses were worn by the bridesmaids, Mandy Callahan, Melissa Underwood and Katherine and Teresa Deak.

Best-man duties were shared by Erik Breunig and Nik Filippi, and groomsmen were Jordan Broderick, Michael Cowher, Christopher Kaylor and Joseph Makkos. Timothy Jacques was the ring presenter.

The couple are graduates of Youngstown State University and Northeast Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine.

The bride served a residency as emergency medicine chief resident at Summa Health System in Akron.

The groom graduated from Case School of Dental Medicine and is in practice at Deak and Kramer Inc. in Elyria.
