STRUTHERS — Wedding vows were exchanged at 2 p.m. Aug. 22 at St. Nicholas Church by Denise D. Pavlik and Greg L. Allen.

The bride is a daughter of the late Michael and Ann Pavlik, who had lived in Struthers. Mr. Allen is a son of Charles and Gayle Allen, 8540 Route 18, Girard, Pa.

The Rev. Bob Bonnet officiated, and a reception followed at The Lake Club in Poland.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and are living in Girard, Pa.

The bride wore a strapless A-line ivory gown with gathered tulle. It was accented with asymmetrical beaded gold corded lace, and the skirt flowed to a chapel train.

Her sister, Cynthia Ahing, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Amy McCall and Michell Ruland, the groom’s sisters, and Yvonne Blegen. They wore champagne-colored gowns.

David Allen performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Gene Allen, the groom’s brother, and Alan Gresh and Kevin Marsh.

Mrs. Allen graduated from Youngstown State University with a master’s degree in education in counseling and is a counselor with Turning Point Counseling Services Inc. in Struthers.

The groom earned an associate degree in computer science at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. He is superintendent of the Albion Borough in Albion, Pa. He also served 25 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and was a master sergeant.
